The Institute is present all around Europe, with more than 20 national sections, and also in South Africa.
In each country IOA works under the supervision of an independent Scientific Advisor chosen amongst the national eminent specialists in the field of allergy. A national IOA coordinator, belonging to UCB, provides the link between the Institute and the Scientific Advisor and ensures the feasibility and the realization of the projects.
The mission of the national IOA is to improve allergy control by giving to health professionals and the public more information on allergy. Another objective is to work with national allergy related organizations, favouring their cooperation to promote awareness of allergy as a public health problem.
