Dermatitis: skin inflammation, regardless of its origin.
Desensitization: a therapeutic method which consists of injecting an allergen at gradually increasing doses to decrease a subject's reactivity to an allergen which exists in the subject's surrounding environment, and enabling the subject to tolerate a protective dose. It tends to be reserved for IgE dependant allergies. Synonyms: hypo-sensitization, immunotherapy or specific vaccination.
Disinsectization: systematic destruction of insects.
Drainage: method for evacuation of bronchial mucus, used by asthmatic patients ; surgical removal (or evacuation) of purulent secretions from sinus cavities.
Drug Interaction: change in the effects of a medicinal product by another medicinal product (administered at about the same time) or a given substance. The effect can be positive or negative on treatment, both with regard to efficacy and side effects.
Dyspnea: objective or subjective difficulty in
breathing.
