Managing allergy > Drug treatment in allergy
Make sure that you know to administer your drugs correctly
As with all drugs, it is important to know when and how take them if they are to be of maximum benefit.

With tablets, the beneficial effects build up to their maximum extent in three to five days of regular treatment. So, take your tablets regularly, as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist, to get the best effects from them.

When taking sprays (such as those used for asthma and rhinitis) the proper use of the device is absolutely crucial for successful treatment.

So, if you feel that your spray is not giving you the relief of symptoms that you expected, make sure that you are using it correctly before deciding that it is useless and throwing it away!
