ALLERGY is an abnormal, exaggerated reaction of our immune system which tries to protect our body from substances which in fact are not harmful and we shouldn’t react to them.

For some of you this explanation might be enough. However, others might say: “Mhhh, yes but, what is the immune system and...what is an exaggerated immune reaction? 

For those of you who want to know more about what allergy is, the following pages will present briefly the immune system and then will describe step by step the development of the allergic attack. You will be also able to visualise in dynamic the development of the allergic process.
